What fillers does IDinHealth offer?
We offer a variety of natural cosmetic dermal fillers that restore volume and fullness to the skin for facial contouring (shaping the cheeks, chin, filling in depressions such as tear trough under the eyes) and lip augmentation. Fillers are also used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines. You still look like yourself – just rejuvenated.
The fillers we offer are: Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus
What are the ingredients in the fillers?
All of our cosmetic dermal fillers are composed of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in the human body and is used to provide volume and fullness to the skin. The difference is in the gel particle size. Perlane and Juvederm Ultra Plus gel particles are larger and designed for deeper injections. The doctor will evaluate your face and help determine which product is right for you.

What should I do prior to my treatment?
The fillers we offer require no pre-testing; however you should take a few precautions before being treated. Avoid using aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication, St. John's wort, or high doses of Vitamin E and fish oil supplements prior to treatment, these may increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Also, if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another recurrence.

Are Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm Ultra, and Juvederm Ultra Plus safe?
The fillers are composed of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in the human body. No allergy testing is required before use, although rare allergic reactions are possible. The most commonly reported side effects were temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. These effects typically resolve in less than seven days. As with all skin injection procedures there is a risk of infection. Visit Restylane's and Juvederm's websites to learn more.

How long do they last?
The fillers are proven to deliver long-lasting results. Studies have shown the effects Restylane and Juvederm Ultra last for about 6 months. Perlane and Juvederm Ultra Plus generally last around 8 - 12 months.

How are fillers different from Botox / Dysport?
Restylane, Perlane, and Juvederm are cosmetic fillers used to add fullness to the face. In contrast, Botox/Dysport block nerve transmission and relax the underlying muscles resulting in a localized reduction of muscle activity in the treated area smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles. Many patients have been very pleased after receiving treatment with both products.

How are Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm different from bovine collagen?
Bovine collagen is derived from animals (cow) and requires an allergy test. The fillers we offer contain no animal proteins and can be administered without pre-testing, so no waiting is required.

Do the injections hurt?
The filler is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts by an ultra-fine needle. Our cooling system used with a topical numbing cream, results in minimal discomfort. The procedure is simple and convenient and results are practically instantaneous. We do offer some fillers with lidocaine upon request.
