Am I a candidate for Microdermabrasion and Skin Rejuvenation Peels?
If you have or have had acne, superficial lines and wrinkles, uneven texture or sun damaged skin, you are most likely a candidate for microdermabrasion or a peel. Our Clinical Esthetician will help determine which treatment would be the best for you. These treatments are not recommended to remove deep scars or wrinkles, birth marks or tattoos.

What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a quick and painless procedure that involves the skin being "sandblasted" by sodium bicarbonate crystals to remove the top layer of the skin; dead skin cells. It promotes the production of new cells in the basal (deepest) layer of the dermis, cleans your pores and prevents future breaks outs if used on a regular basis. Microdermabrasion also stimulates collagen and elastin to even out skin texture and appearance.

What is a Skin Rejuvenation Peel?
A Skin Rejuvenation peel is also a quick and painless procedure that improves and smoothes the texture of the skin. The acid works by gently removing the damaged outer layers of the skin. We offer 2 types of peels in which our Clinical Esthetician will help determine which is best for your skin type:
- Glycolic Acid:
Glycolic acid is derived from sugar cane and is used to reduce wrinkles, smooth out skin texture, reduce skin discoloration and more. - Salicylic Acid:
Salicylic acid is derived from willow tree bark and is used to penetrate deep into the pores for removal of oils that cause acne. It also smoothes the texture of the skin.

Is there any downtime?
There is typically no downtime; however your skin may appear a little pink for a couple hours. Patients can return to work immediately and apply make up as usual afterwards. Sun protection, as always, should be applied daily to prevent any sun burn.
